Tell Art Monk & Darrell Green what they mean to you!

Darrell, Art, I just wanted to say Thank You so much for the great testimony you men both have had. You both have displayed such great character and have boldly proclaimed the name and love of Christ. You two have been role models of mine ever since I started watching Redskins football when I was young. Thank you so much and I couldn't be happier that your both making it to the Hall of Fame. Matthew - Culpeper, Virginia

Hi Darrell, I'm a huge Redskin fan but even a bigger Darrell Green fan. I was able to get Redskin season tickets when the new stadium opened and was able to see you play at FedEx Field until retirement. It was very hard to see you go. I always have admired you because of what you do off the field with your foundation. My husband bought me a real Jersey and helmet from your store. You autographed the helmet. I watched the day they named you and Art Monk to the Football Hall of Fame. I always thought it was too long for Art Monk to wait but how appropriate for you both to go in together. I have tickets to the Route 281 Tour Event at Liberty University. I also was able to get tickets to the Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement and Football game. I've always wanted to meet you both and look forward to it. Thanks again for all you did for football and what you continue to do for others. Ella - Lynchburg, VA

Darrell, I am so pleased to see you are still the wonderful man you were in our college days. I looked at the tours and see that you will not be near Texas. I wanted to go. I still proudly show everyone who comes to my home the picture of you and my son (Bruce Hudson) sitting on the front of the car you drove home after signing with the Skins. I followed you all those years and have heard excellent reports from those who live in the DC area about you. Thank you for being the man of God as you have always been. I hope one day you come to our area and I get to see you. P.S. Art your reputation as a Godly man is also mentioned by my friends. Thanks to both of you for your stand for the Lord. - Caryl - Pleasanton, TX

I have said for years that when Art was inducted, I would be there and now with the great bonus of Darrell also being inducted - WOW! My wife Joan & I will be in Canton for the induction ceremonies and the game. Although we have moved to Florida we still have our season tickets - I waited 17 years to get them and I wouldn't give them up for anything. We try to get up for a couple games a year with friends using them the balance of the season. I was lucky enough to be at the game when Art set the then record of 820 receptions AND at the playoff game when Darrell made that great punt return. I have also attended three Skins Super Bowls (going twice w/o tickets - I have two great stories about how I got tickets in San Diego & Minneapolis) Our "Redskins Room" here in Florida is a highlight for viewing by all visitors - memorabilia everywhere. We also subscribe to the NFL Game Day Package on DirecTV so we don't miss any Skins games. We send our heartiest congratulations to two of our favorite all time Redskins. - David • Bradenton, FL

Art & Darrell, While the memories of your plays on the field are easily remembered & discussed, your lives off the football field are the examples I will use when telling my son about my childhood heroes. I attended the Art Monk football camp for a number of years through high school and learned many football & life lessons. With all of the trouble that seems to come with this generation of athletes, the NFL should be proud to have such two classy men being in the news for our children to use as examples. Like it or not, professional athlete's lead by example. Thanks for giving me two fine examples when I was watching you during my teen years. Congratulations to you both! Hail to the Redskins! - Joe - Olathe, Kansas

Darrell & Art, You are simply the BEST!!! Thank you for all the delightful seasons & your charisma on & off the field. Looking forward to your induction in the Pro Football Hall Of Fame!!!! - Missy - Roanoke, Virginia

As a faithful, original Carolina Redskins fan, I wish you both well in your campaign. Both of you brought class and professionalism to the field. That, as you well know, is in short supply in the NFL today. Again, let me say that I am so proud of you both. God's best always.....Horace Ledford, Charlotte

Congrates to both of you, in the project that you've both taken on. I wish you two all the best. Your brother in Christ. James Noble #83 - 1986

Thank you! I am very glad to have the opportunity to meet both Darrell and Art and to help towards their funds. Darrell Green has long been my favorite SKINS player. His hard work and dedication has, and continues, to inspire me. He is the epitome of what every corner back and role model should be, and he will remain my favorite all-time Redskins player forever. Thanks again, to both Darrell and Art to finally meet the best!!! From an Inspired Fan, Lucian - Portsmouth, VA

I just wanted to say congratulations to both of you for your well deserved selection to the pro football hall of fame. I could not have been more excited that my two all-time favorite players would be inducted together. Even more importantly than you guys being terrific football players, I feel that you are even better model citizens for using this 281 tour platform to help those in need. Although I only had the priveledge of watching you each play once in person at RFK and meeting you as a young child at my school when you were kind enough to visit, I currently enjoy season tickets at FEDEX to root on the current Skins to victory! Thank you for all you do to make this world a little better each day. Sincerely, James - Lexington, VA

Art and Darrell, Thank you for your inspiration and quality off the field devotion to the community. Players of your caliber will live forever in the hearts and minds of all Redskins Fans. I can recall hundreds of plays the two of you made that electrified the crowd. I don't think there is a better honor for Redskins fans than to have the two of you enter the Hall of Fame together. My husband and I will be in Canton to cheer on our favorite players one more time. We love you guys and GOD bless you and your families. Takisha - Washington D.C.

I have been a fan of the Washington Redkins since the George Allen era but it wasn't until the Joe Gibbs era that I learned to appreciate the skill it took to play in NFL. The Gibb's era produced greats like Darrell Green and Art Monk, both deserving of the induction into the Hall of Fame. You knew each game that you never had to worry about the corner position or in clutch situations you knew who the QB would throw to. Over the last 25 years these two men have not only done great things on the field but they also are great believers in the Lord and have made such an impact on the community. The job they did on the field made them the Hall of Fame greats they are, but it is the job they are doing off the field that will give eternal recognition. Great job guys, keep up the great work! -

I lived in MD during jr. H.S. thru college at U of MD. My dad would take me to games occasionally. I met Darrell once with my dad at a luncheon he put on for his foundation. Was in a photo with him but not sure how to get a copy. Both these guys lives, living for Christ, has been an inspiration and motivator to me. Now living in CA my daughters have loved cheering on the Redskins. We watched both these men, as we together with them have developed a closer relationship, as they have, to accomplish wonderful things for the Kingdom. Thanks - Jonathan - Rancho Cordova, CA
